Privacy policy

goTether Platform, LLC ("goTether," "we," "us") runs the Cam Carroll app for the artist Cam Carroll and his team. This policy explains what we collect in the app, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers the iPhone and Android apps and this website's app pages. It does not cover TikTok, Instagram or other services the app links to.

The app is invite-only. You can only create an account with an email address the team invited.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), role on the team and, if you add them, your phone number and profile photo.
• Work you add: tasks, projects, calendar events, goals, comments, post plans, voice memos, lyrics, audio files, photos and videos you upload.
• Messages to us: what you send when you contact support.

Information collected when you use the app

• Device details: device type, operating system, app version, and a push notification token if you allow notifications.
• Service logs: sign-in times, IP address, and error and crash reports, used to keep the app secure and working.

Phone permissions

The app asks before it uses your microphone (voice memos), camera and photo library (profile photo and content), or sends notifications. It uses them only when you start that action, and you can turn each one off in your phone's settings.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, health data or payment card details. The app has no advertising and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

2. How we use it

• To create and secure your account, including sign-up and password reset codes sent by email.
• To run the app: show your agenda, share work with the team, store files, and send the notifications you choose.
• To answer support requests and send service messages, such as invites and security notices.
• To find and fix problems, prevent misuse, and meet legal duties.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

3. Who can see it

• Your team: work you add is shared with the team members whose role lets them see it. A producer sees only the projects they are added to. Voice memos stay private to you until you share them.
• Service providers who process data for us under contract: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Resend (email), Expo, Apple and Google (push notifications), and Apple and Google (app distribution).
• Legal and safety: when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of users, the artist or goTether.
• Business transfers: if goTether is part of a merger, sale or reorganization, subject to this policy.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, photo, private voice memos and notification settings within 30 days. Removed data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 more days. Work you added to shared projects, such as tasks, comments and files, stays with the team so their work is not lost, but it is no longer linked to your name. We may keep limited records when the law requires it.

5. Security

We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords, private file storage, and access rules that limit each person to what their role allows. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and tell us right away if you think your account was misused.

6. Your choices and rights

• Update your name, photo, phone and notification settings in the app under More › Profile.
• Delete your account in the app under More › Profile › Delete account, or request deletion on the web.
• Ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct it, by emailing privacy@gotether.app.

We will verify your identity before acting on a request and respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

California residents

Under California law you can ask what personal information we collected about you in the last 12 months, ask us to delete or correct it, and opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined. The categories we collect are identifiers, account details, content you create, device and usage information, and audio and visual information you upload. You may use an authorized agent to make a request.

People in the EEA, UK or Switzerland

goTether Platform, LLC is the controller of your information. We process it to provide the service you signed up for (contract), to keep it secure and improve it (legitimate interests), with your consent for notifications and phone permissions, and to meet legal duties. You may access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, take your data with you, and withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Your information is processed in the United States, using appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

7. Age requirement

The app is for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly.

8. Links to other services

The app may link to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or other services. Their privacy practices are their own, and we are not responsible for them.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect, and update the date above.
